Since her husband was traveling abroad we had to postpone the session a bit. And on the session day M. wasn't feeling too well but she didn't want to postpone it any further. Luckily I don't think that shows in the pictures. All I see is a radiant mom-to-be.
And here we had to laugh so hard... I said something like, talk to your baby... and E. said, but I am not used to talk to a belly... or something along those lines...;-)
Thirty eight weeks pregnant and looking so beautiful. What a beautiful belly A has. I was totally jealous ;). By the time I was six months pregnant with all my three children, people started to ask... so when will you deliver. Ah and then see A. It was wonderful to photograph them. I almost couldn't stop. The light was beautiful and so were they. A. and M. can't wait to meet your precious bundle of joy!

This storyboard is a bit of a teaser ;). Especially with your first child, as a soon-to-be-mom, you read a lot about your pregnancy and about the first year with your baby. And of course you ask your husband to read about it too. He HAS to know as well about all these little details. But for a lot of men it will only make sense as soon as they HOLD the baby. Till then... other reading material can be just as interesting... of course M only did it for the photo ;).
My friend and colleague photographer Hilke has just delivered her third child, a little baby boy. We did several maternity sessions and had really fun doing so. A lot of ideas I had in mind, I could try on her ;). They didn't know if they would have another boy or a girl. It's probably a very Dutch thing, not to know. That way you have a real surprise at the end of your pregnancy. Welcome to the world, little F. I know for a fact your brother and sister were really looking forward to meet you... and so were your mom and dad. I hope to see you soon.
Since the birth is planned for tomorrow! It's about time to blog these maternity pictures before the babies are out ;). Mum and Dad will get their hands full, having already a handsome nearly four year old boy and a beautiful two year old girl (look here for the session I did with them). All the best tomorrow.
